    T4C.exe has stopped working

    Hi All,

I've tried to download the application from the download page...
    http://www.havoct4c.com/index.php?playnow=download
...and get started but when I select my character and attempt to connect to the server, I receive a 'T4C.exe has stopped working' error and the application crashes.

    Running:
    x64 Windows 7 Professional 6.1.7601 SP1 Build 7601
    6 core 2700MHz AMD processor
    8.00GB RAM

    Solutions tried so far:
    > Run as admin
    > Re-installing from installer
    > Re-booting PC
    > Granting myself Full Control permissions

I'm unable to find anything on-line apart from the post from Goober on 05/11/2011. This appears to have been resolved by Onyx but no clues as to how on the thread. Any ideas please?

    Thanks

Regarding T4C.exe, I run Norton 360, firewall and anti virus programs don't seem to be the issue on this error. What I have encountered is this: every time you make a new account or a windows update is, your losing macro settings or T4C.exe flags as error. Simply use restore point before update or prior to you installing another account and every thing goes back to normal. Your update will happen again when ever you have it scheduled to, but when it runs the second time, all is good. Hope this helps!

Have you adjusted your uac to see if that is stopping it?
Have you tried to also set webpatch.exe to run as admin?
Do you have an active firewall? Is that blocking it?
If not start from the top and let me know how that turns out.
    Thanks for the reply, Mouse.
The problem seemed to resolve itself. This is after ticking the 'MMX Old Config' box in T4C Config and re-downloading the application from the website again (as re-installing it didn't work).

After this, the application crashed after one full cycle of the loading screen (right then left). I tried again and it got a little further. On the third attempt I logged in successfully!

Just tried to log in again and I've been able to without any problems.

    To answer your questions:
Q: Have you tried running the 2008 redistribution that are located under _redist directory?
    A: No

Q: Have you adjusted your uac to see if that is stopping it?
A: No. UAC seemed to be functioning correctly upon initial start up but who knows.

Q: Have you tried to also set webpatch.exe to run as admin?
    A: No

Q: Do you have an active firewall? Is that blocking it?
A: Yes but I didn't disable it for the application to work.

    Thanks again,

    Jeremy
